What I do
I design speaking confidence programmes that help individuals manage common workplace communication settings. I believe in creating a programme that is based on pedagogical research, practice-driven, and tailored to your unique company context. I have conducted trainings for young participants and educators in the field of public speaking. This is what you can expect in a training programme:
Objective-Driven - I understand your students' or teachers' current learning needs, profiles, and learner profiles, and match them with relevant learning objectives
Future-Bias - Scenario-based speaking tasks to ensure your class or teachers practice theory with relevant context that fits their future roles (e.g., roleplays, simulation, improvisation)
Engagement-First - Engaging training programme setting to encourage learners to explore the skill in a safe, constructive setting

About Me
I have over 15 years of background in public speaking, with experience in training kids, teenagers, and adult learners. I have been a prosecutor, a C-Suite (COO), a public speaker - communication is the golden thread through this journey. I am also currently an MOE-registered instructor for conflict resolution, communication, and interview skills. I believe that there is nothing like the struggle of having a powerful idea but lacking the confidence to convey it. I want to empower inside voices into outside influence.
Formal communication background - I started in the speaking circuit as a Toastmaster 15 years ago before working as a Deputy Public Prosecutor from 2015 to 2019, honing persuasive communication and negotiation through written and oral advocacy in the Singapore Courts. I graduated from National University of Singapore (Law) in 2015, after being awarded the Public Service Commission Singapore Government Scholarship in 2011.
Practice-Bias - I have trained over 200 clients in the field of public speaking, especially for young learners. In my previous role as a Senior Trainer & Chief Operating Officer role in Public Speaking Academy Pte Ltd, I designed and helmed training programmes that allow for engagement and practice. I have attained the Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance (ACLP) by Institute for Adult Learning Singapore and am an Accredited Mediator under Singapore Mediation Centre.
Sustainable Outcomes - I keep myself challenged in applying these communication techniques in new settings. I was a Founder as part of Antler's accelerator programme 2023 where I pitched an early-stage product to the venture capital fund. I was also awarded the Roger Fisher Negotiation (Top Student) Prize in 2015, in pursuing further communication settings to challenge myself.
I have conducted:

• A weekly session for Secondary School student leaders on informative & persuasive speaking in their roles
• A half-day session for Primary 5/6 students on emceeing, interview, and presentation skills
• A 3 x weekly session for Primary 4-6 students on designing questions for interviews, interviewing skills, and story-craftingBeyond these, I have trained over 300 adult learners in areas of public speaking/communication, with companies such as Dyson (sales), Legal Aid Bureau (persuasion), and Beautiful People (speaking confidence).
